The staff was so warm and welcoming and were willing to help with whatever I needed. The breakfast could have been better but it was alright. Over all, I love hoe beautiful the facilities are and I really appreciated how safe it was for me as a solo traveller. The spa treatment was exceptional!!! a very big thank you to them because that was an amazing experience.

The atmosphere is relaxed. We felt very welcome and the staff were really friendly and professional. The accommodation was very comfortable and overall beautiful. We will definitely be back for a longer stay.

Misty Hills Country Hotel is a wonderful place to stay. The thatched-roof bungalows are spacious with lovely interior décor and furniture, and are laid out along many winding brick paths in a lush tropical setting with flowers, shrubs, and trees, some with botanical labels on them. Along the paths are many splendid African art carvings, statues, small flowing brooks, ponds, and beautiful scenic views. The grounds have been meticulously planned and laid out, as have the rooms and buildings on the many acres in this resort. Each room, dining area, meeting room, and the reception area are adorned with African art—sculptures, paintings, and historic artefacts/memorabilia, with windows that look out in to the tropical gardens and trees. The service is first class. The accompanying huge breakfast buffet has dozens of choices of fresh fruit, warm and cold meats, special dishes, cheeses, cereals, and pastries, with several people ready to cook any personal preference you may have, as well as table service in the large dining hall with its African motif surrounding you. Of course, the world-renowned Carnivore restaurant is on the Misty Hills grounds and is a real treat for those who enjoy a meal of game in a festive setting with meat delivered to your table on large skewers. There is also a nice dining room with a good lunch and dinner menu adjacent to the reception area. In every way, this hotel is great and a wonderful experience; we’re from Canada and have returned every time we’re in the Johannesburg area.

I loved everything about this place. On arrival we were greeted warmly at the gate, the receptionists were was warm and friendly ;we were offered refreshments and offered a comfortable waiting place to ascertain that our room was ready. We were informed about the restaurants and told about an event taking place. The ushers accompanied us to our room, help carry the bags and gave us a room tour (room smelled so good).

Extremely friendly and helpful staff. The executive room exceeded our expectations. The king size bed was extremely comfortable and the sunk in huge bath with outside shower a bonus. The menu selection at the Ginbox Pub & The Connexion Restaurant was small but to our satisfaction. The huge variety of buffet breakfast was fit for a king. The property with its scenic walkways gave a tranquil atmosphere. I would highly recommend Misty Hills for a quick get away or romantic weekend.

I paid for a single room with a double bed. When I checked in I asked if they could put me close to the conference venue as the hotel is very spread out and on the side of a hill. There were no small rooms available close to the conference rooms so they gave me a wonderful upgrade to an Executive Suite for two nights. It even had a private garden! Thanks to the reception staff for being so kind and understanding.

The grounds were perfect for a long romantic walk. Clean and well kept. The reception employees were stellar to say the least. In fact, most of the employees were an absolute pleasure to deal with. The rooms and bedsheets were spotless!
